Jac’s first visitor of her stay is Fletch who brings her some nice chocolates thinking she might like them, sitting in the living area with sofas and a little hot water machine to make hot drinks, the pair of them talk and she tells him she didn’t want to see him. Fletch tells her he didn’t have her sectioned, that her actions were frightening Emma at the time. He hands her a picture that Emma drew her, it’s of her and Jac and a unicorn, with a rainbow above them, Jac looks at it and then places it on the table. Grabbing Fletch’s hands she tells him he’s a failure as a friend, as a lover and as a father, that they made him management because he’s a failure as a nurse, before she storms out of the room with her chocolates.

Next to come and visit Jac is Sacha, he brings her some shower gel and bath salts but she doesn’t seem pleased or happy to see him. He says that he’s furious with himself that he wasn’t there for her, but he didn’t see this coming. Try as he may he tries to talk to her, to help her, but she’s not interested at all in what he’s saying. Jac admits she’s not taking any medication and she refuses to talk to Dr Nelson and she’s not doing any of these things because there is nothing wrong with her, a lot of people would beg to differ Jac. She says that she’s not depressed like him, she’s angry, that her only way out of the unit is for her to pretend that she thinks it’s true. He says that he believes part of it for her is depression. The two of them start to have a heated discussion when she isn’t listening and claiming not to be ill, then suddenly she slaps him around the face, a shocked Sacha looking on at her as he holds his cheek, then she starts to hit him until Dr Nelson comes into the room with three other people who work in the unit, throwing the things he’s brought her at Connie as she tells Jac she needs to calm herself down. Connie then tells Sacha to go because he’s not helping her, despite Jac having a sudden change of heart and asking her friend to help her, but with tears in his eyes he does as Connie says and leaves the room, Jac takes the option of taking the tablets to help her as she sees the woman with white hair who she saw at the beginning of the episode.

Phoebe confronts Chloe in the locker room, saying she’ll basically hound her until Chloe tells her all the details of what happened with Evan and why he’s now dead. Chloe tells her she’s pregnant. Hearing this news Phoebe is suddenly nicer to Chloe, asking her to tell her if she needs anything, saying that it’s like a bit of Evan is still alive, that she’ll be in touch.

Elliot is Jac’s third visitor of the day, he tells her he discharged himself even though Chloe wasn’t pleased with this. She tells him that he’s literally her father with how he has been to her over the years. He tells her that she’s not her mum Paula, she says she is and that’s why she needs something every day to fight the Paula inside her and be better than she was. Elliot says he’s going to hang up his scalpel and spend more quality time with his family, that she’s given him the gift of time. He tells her she’s going to be fine, that he knows she is. Going into his jacket pocket he gives her a gift of a gold necklace with a gold heart pendant on it, seen as he won’t be around to give it her at Christmas.

In the final scene for this week, Jac is back in the room where she had her outburst with Fletch and Sacha, and is putting the repaired picture that Emma did for her, on the paper tree that has cut out paper hands for leaves. Connie comes into the room as she’s putting her coat on to go home, telling Jac she’s off home and asking Jac how she’s feeling, Jac replies that she’d like to see Dr Nelson in the morning if that’s possible, Connie replying that she’ll put it in the diary and then reassuring Jac that the Dr is alright, leaving the room as Jac is looking at Emma’s picture on the paper tree on the wall, looking at it for a few more minutes before touching it and then heading out of the room too as she utters the word Kintsugi. Is this the turning point for her, is she going to move forward in getting better, getting the help and support she’s very much in need of? Everyone is behind you Jac and just wants you well and happy!
